Enclosed circuit breakers have strict requirements for the usage environment and pressure

Nowadays, the application scope of plastic-case circuit breakers is becoming increasingly widespread. I wonder if everyone has paid attention to this? Some customers have reported that after purchasing this type of product, it broke down within a short period of time, with various problems occurring. It’s really troublesome. In fact, there are only two reasons for this situation. The first reason is that the quality of the purchased product is not up to standard. Maybe they bought a product with substandard quality just to save money. The second reason is that they did not understand the usage environment and maintenance methods of plastic-case circuit breakers, which led to a significant reduction in the machine’s service life.
Everyone should be aware that molded-case circuit breakers have specific requirements for the surrounding temperature and humidity. The ambient air temperature must not exceed 40 degrees Celsius and must be kept within this range. The minimum temperature should not be lower than -5 degrees Celsius, and the average temperature should not exceed 35 degrees Celsius. These temperature values are indeed very important as they can affect the operation of the molded-case circuit breakers. Regarding the requirements for the atmosphere, the relative humidity should not exceed 50% at 40 degrees Celsius. In lower temperature conditions, the humidity can be slightly increased, but the average humidity over a month should not exceed 90%.
The contacts of the plastic-case circuit breaker are operated manually. Of course, if you find the manual operation too troublesome, you can try the electric closing method, which also has this function. When the main contacts are closed, the free-tripping mechanism will lock the main contacts in the appropriate position. Once the coil of the trip device is connected in series with the thermal trip element and the main circuit, the machine will start working. Only when users fully understand its working principle can they know how to operate and maintain it.
When using plastic housing circuit breakers in daily use, one should be aware that if a short circuit or severe overload occurs in the circuit, the overcurrent trip device will activate the armature to engage, causing the free-tripping mechanism to operate and disconnecting the main circuit. When the circuit is overloaded, the thermal element will bend and also cause the main circuit to be disconnected. And when the circuit lacks voltage, the under-voltage trip device will release.
