The shielding system of vacuum circuit breakers

The shielding cover is an indispensable component in vacuum interrupters, and there are various types such as the main shielding cover surrounding the contacts, the corrugated tube shielding cover, and the equalizing shielding cover. The main function of the main shielding cover is: a to prevent the arc products generated during the arc ignition process from splashing onto the inner wall of the insulating housing, thereby reducing the insulation strength of the housing. b to improve the uniformity of the electric field distribution inside the interrupter, which is conducive to reducing the local field strength and promoting the miniaturization of the vacuum interrupter. c to condense the arc products and absorb part of the arc energy, which helps to restore the dielectric strength of the gap after the arc.
